Black Bellied Plover

The Black Bellied Plover is a shy shore bird, that can be seen along the Florida shoreline during the winter. They breed in the Arctics and make their way down in winter. There are two variations in their plumage. What you are seeing here is the Adult Basic Look: White underparts, gray spotted upper parts. White eyebrow. No ring around eyes. Short classic stabbing plover bill.
